ALDAR - COMMERCIAL
The 25-storey tower on Al Maryah Island, previously non-operational for an extended period, has been completely upgraded to meet the latest fire and life safety codes. The building's initial design, which used common AHUs (Air Handling Units) and VAVs (Variable Air Volume systems) to serve all floors, has been redesigned to include individual FCUs (Fan Coil Units) on each floor. This change ensures better cooling precision and enhanced control.
All riser shafts were opened, the old ducts removed, and new ventilation ducts installed. Additionally, chilled water stub-outs on all tenant floors were upgraded, and a new chilled water pump was added for improved system efficiency. Smoke and car park ventilation fans and their ducting have also been replaced with fire-rated ducts to ensure maximum safety and compliance with updated standards.
